THE STORY
The film follows a cast of a reality web series where two bartenders sling drinks by night and ghost hunt after last call. They usually investigate historic bars, speak easy’s, and restaurants that have unusual and strange happenings beyond the normal drunken antics of your local watering hole. After many seasons they are looking to take the show to another level… Our hosts, Wess and Allen, lead their team to shoot an epic season finale. This time they’re tackling their most challenging paranormal case to date. With the help of their team Misti, Jacob, and Russell, they have decided to venture out of the comforts of the big city and explore a new frontier. Unfortunately, they chose the cursed Mallum Forest to try to expand their horizons. It’s known for a large number of unexplained disappearances that trace back all the way back to the gold rush. It’s been reported that locals avoid this area due to so many having gone missing. Their investigation starts out like any other, but in the Mallum Forest, things are not as calm as they may appear. The team sets up their high tech ghost hunting gear, pass the ceremonial flask, and head into search the mysterious forest for answers. As they search amongst the dark and towering trees, their queries quickly turn to screams. Delving further and further into the forest as a terrifying presence, they could never have imagined, is forced to reveal itself.
The team quickly becomes painfully aware that they are not welcome and may not be alone.
They have entered the Mallum Forest. Something doesn’t want them to leave…
